In this post, we want to share some simple remedies using common Indian spices found in your kitchen. These illness listed below are commonly found in Indian children. Many of you may be knowing these remedies known as Grand mother’s medicine. Do try them and as always, please remember that these are just home remedies and a trained Doctor/ Peadiatrician knows best when it comes to your baby.

COLDS

Mix a gram of dalchini/cinnamon powder with a teaspoon of honey and consume. Prepare a cup of tea to which you should add ginger, clove, bay leaf and black pepper.. This should be consumed twice a day. Reduce the intake as the cold disappears.

DRY COUGHS.

Add a gram of turmeric (haldi) powder to a teaspoon of honey for curing dry cough. Also chew a cardamom for a long time.

BLOCKED NOSE.

For blocked nose or to relieve congestion, take a table spoon of crushed carom seeds (ajwain), tie it in a cloth and inhale it.

SORE THROAT.

Add a tea spoon of cumin seeds (jeera) and a few small pieces of dry ginger to a glass of boiling water. Simmer it for a few minutes, and then let it cool. Drink it twice daily. This will cure cold as well as sore throat.

MIGRAINE.

For the cure of migraine or acute cold in the head; boil a tablespoon of pepper powder, and a pinch of turmeric in a cup of milk, and have it daily for a few couple of days.

CUT AND WOUNDS
For small cuts or wounds, apply turmeric powder to the injured portion to stop the bleeding. It also works as an antiseptic. You can tie a bandage after applying haldi/turmeric.

INDIGESTION

Turmeric can be used to relieve digestive problems like ulcers, dysentery. Turmeric can be taken as a drink other than adding to dishes to help prevent all problems. Use one teaspoon of turmeric powder per cup of warm milk every day. It is also used as a paste for local action.

VOMITING

Take 2 cardamoms/ elachi and roast them on a dry pan (tava). Powder the cardamoms and thereafter add a tsp of honey in it. Consume it frequently. It serves as a fabulous home remedy for vomiting.

Seema Parihar
A reformed dacoit, who had approached Allahabad high court for permission to get inside the Bigg Boss house. She was known as another bandit Queen and known to have killed over 70 people. She surrendered some years ago and a film was made on her life, titled Wounded. Still many cases against her pending are at various courts.

Ashmit Patel
Ashmit is the younger brother of actress Amisha Patel. Shot into his 15 minutes of fame for a controversial MMS scandal with then girlfriend Ria Sen and his family feud with Amisha.

Begum Nawazish Ali
A Pakistani contestant, cross dresser from Pakistan who was seen in 9X’s chat show Begum Nawazish Ali. Ali Saleem Khusra, born a male, is the second Pakistani after Veena Malik on ‘Bigg Boss’.

Sakshi Pradhan
MTV Splitsvilla 2 winner. The splitsvilla girl from last year’s show was in the news for an MMS allegedly of her that was leaked by someone on the show. She was suddenly the talk of the town, but went missing after that.

Devinder Singh
Devinder Singh alias Bunty, the super thief who created quite a stir in Delhi with his clever robberies. Bunty robbed over 300 houses and 100 showrooms in Delhi, before he was finally nabbed in 2007.

Rahul Bhatt
Son of Director Mahesh Bhatt, in the news for his alleged friendship with terror operative David Coleman Headley.

Sara Khan
Sara Khan is an Indian model and TV actress. She won the Miss Madhya Pradesh title in 2007.  Her first TV role is as Sadhna in Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai.

Aanchal Kumar
A model who was linked with Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh.

Hrishant Goswami
Hrishant is a model originally from Jammu and Kashmir. He has won the 2004 Gladrags Manhunt Contest.

Veena Malik
A Pakistani actress and former girlfriend of ousted Pakistani cricketer Mohammed Asif. She is in the news for leaking out the betting scandal that involved the cricketer.

Manoj Tiwari
Manoj is a Bihari actor, singer and director who acts in Bhojpuri films. He is popular in the Netherlands and Dutch government had issued a 44 Euro cent stamp with Tiwari’s image. He is also going through a separation from his wife Rani, and the presence of Shweta Tiwari with whom he was linked, will be interesting to watch.

WWE Pro wrestler the Great Khali was the first wild card entry of BiggBoss Season 4. It is reported that he is the most expensive contestant and has charged a whopping Rs. 5 Lac for a day.

Dolly Bindra
Bollywood actress Dolly Bindra is the second wild card entry. She is sure to bring in the much needed masala.

Pamela Anderson
The American model and actress Pamela Anderson will be the latest celebrity to enter BiggBoss’s house. A strict vegetarian and advocate of PETA, things will surely hot up with her entry and TRP ratings will see a new high.
